How Grammar School works
Short, focused practice sets with a worked answer for every question.
Choose a topic and level
Pick a subject, a question type such as fractions or letter series, and a difficulty from 1 (easier) to 5 (beyond the exam). Or mix everything.
Answer a set of ten
Each question is multiple choice and is marked straight away. A tutor’s tip is available before you answer if you want a nudge.
Learn from the working
Every answer comes with a step-by-step explanation. Your score for each topic is saved on your device so you can see what to practise next.
Where the questions come from
Every question is original. Public 11+ papers are used only to understand which question types and formats appear. Nothing is copied from them.
Maths and verbal reasoning questions are generated from carefully designed templates, so there are many different versions of each type. The vocabulary questions are built from our own word bank.
How answers are checked
A separate program works out the answer to each question independently and compares it with ours. Any mismatch fails the build, and any question where more than one option could be right is rejected.
A few harder variants do not have an independent checker yet, and we mark them as such internally.
Difficulty levels
Level 1 is a standard 11+ question. Level 5 is deliberately harder than the real exam, so the real thing feels more manageable. For vocabulary questions, higher levels add more tempting wrong answers.
What it is not
Grammar School is practice, not a guarantee of a place. Exact exam formats vary by school and region, so always check your target schools’ current guidance. We are not affiliated with any exam provider or school.
